16 December 2021 ... The Home Page updated to show the annual closure of the Centre de la Mémoire.

24 August 2021 ... A review of the whole site has begun today, but individual pages will not be declared here if they change; instead look at the foot of each page to see if and when it was altered. The review is to be continuous and will not have an end date.

07 August 2021 ... A note added to the Home Page advising all potential visitors to check the health requirements required for entry, with the official https://www.oradour.org website.

10 April 2021 ... Opening details changed to show access to the ruins only. The Centre de la Mémoire is now closed to visitors, but the bookshop is available for mail order only.

22 March 2021 ... From 22nd March, the bookshop in the Centre de la Mémoire and the ruins themselves will open every day between 09:00 and 18:00.

11 February 2021 ... Due to the measures taken to fight against Covid-19, the exhibits in the Centre de la Mémoire will remain closed until further notice. However, from 15th February, the bookshop in the Centre and the ruins themselves will open every day between 13:00 and 17:30

29 January 2021 ... Home page updated to show that the Centre de la Mémoire is now to remain closed until further notice, due to the fight against the Covid-19 virus.

12 January 2021 ... Home page updated to show the new expected reopening date for the Centre de la Mémoire as being Monday 1st February at 09:00 (this is totally dependant on how well the fight against Covid-19 is going at the time and it is possible that the opening could go back even further).

24 January 2017 ... Most of the work to make the website mobile friendly, has been completed, please let me know of any specific problems via the email address on the Home Page should you encounter them.

21 January 2017 ... Most of the file sizes have been removed from the Picture Gallery. This was firstly, to make the menu look a little less cluttered and secondly, due to the rise in the use of broadband they no longer served much useful purpose in warning visitors of likely download times. Files sizes have been left visible for the larger panoramic and higher definition photographs.

05 January 2017 ... The whole website is being reviewed in order to make it even more mobile friendly, please be patient whilst this work is in progress. I hope to have all modifications completed within a few weeks. Until then, it may be necessary to 'pinch' some pages in order to make them fit the screen of your device.

22 August 2016 ... Most of the work completed to make the website more mobile friendly. A complete re-write will be necessary to complete the job and this will take place during 2017.
