The house of Léon Roche in Oradour-sur-Vayres
This is the house of Léon Roche in Oradour-sur-Vayres, the plaque commemorating his role in the resistance can be seen above and to the right of the entrance door to the property. The house is a bit of an enigma, as whilst it is inhabited, there is no surfaced path to the door, just grass, which does not show any signs of wear. The house is in a cul-de-sac off the road to Rochechouart and is the only property that I could see in the town that carries a memorial to the resistance. See also a close-up of the plaque
