The memorial to the dead of W.W.I - looking towards the altar
The window immediately above the altar is the one through which Mme Rouffanche escaped. Note the two bullet holes in the memorial. The poor contrast, which makes reading the names on the war memorial difficult, is mainly due to the nature of the stone and the engraving used, which in most lights gives hardly any contrast.
