Church viewed at the entrance to the village from the Limoges road

Church from Limoges road

This view has been taken from near the old entrance to the ruins on the Limoges road; it is this route the SS used to enter the village. The sign at the foot of the telephone pole reads, "SILENCE", this request is also made at the northern and Centre de la Mémoire entrances to the ruins. The window, through which Mme Rouffanche jumped, is the lower middle one of the group of three. Note the overhead electric tram wires, they are still intact and run up to the station round the curve in the road.
