Aire de Repos
The Aire de Repos (see map) which opened in 2004 in Oradour-sur-Glane, for Camping Cars (Motorcaravans) and Caravans. It is equipped with toilets, washbasins, rubbish bins and a borne (water / electricity pillar). The Aire is lit and is free for overnight stops, with no stated limit as to the maximum length of stay. If drinking water or electricity is required, 100 litres, or 1 hour can be had for €2, there is no cost to use the toilets or washbasins (cold water only). This view was taken just to the left of the fixed barbeque point and in front of the children's play area. There are 14 marked places for outfits and space for many more. The Aire is clearly signed from the roundabout at the Centre de la Mémoire and is at the end of the Rue du Stade, just past the sports / football ground. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Centre de la Mémoire along more or less level pavements, but if you wish to drive, parking during daylight hours at the Centre is free.
